Three Blue Ducks is a group of passionate, sustainability-focused restaurants with locations across Australia. Our Rosebery location is a vibrant venue located in the heart of Sydney. Nestled in a spacious, rustic warehouse, the venue offers a relaxed atmosphere with a focus on serving ethically sourced, seasonal dishes.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our respected and established restaurant group. Responsible for playing a key role in the overall success of the venue by ensuring each guest has a positive and unforgettable experience with us at The Ducks. We are looking for hospitality professionals who have the ability to work alongside their team and strengthen what has already been instilled.

About the Job:
  1. Overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and customer service.
  2. Supporting the Restaurant Manager in strategic planning and decision making.
  3. Ensuring high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety are maintained.
  4. Providing excellent customer service and handling any customer complaints or feedback.
  5. Assisting with financial management tasks such as cash handling and reporting.
  6. Leading and mentoring the front-of-house team, providing coaching and development opportunities.
  7. Implementing and monitoring policies and procedures to drive operational efficiency.
  8. Liaising with the kitchen regarding menus, events, daily run-sheets, and service.
Skills and Experience
  1. Proven work experience in a high volume setting as a Supervisor or Manager of a restaurant.
  2. Great customer service skills and the temperament to match.
  3. Ability to work with, mentor and develop a large team.
  4. Comfortable setting priorities and assigning tasks as required.
  5. Strong communication skills, a magnetic personality, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  6. Solid financial acumen and the desire to exceed expectations.
  7. A genuine desire to work as a team to provide all our guests with a great experience.
  8. Great understanding of food, wines, cocktails, and spirits.
  9. Experience managing functions is preferred but not essential.
