Job summary

Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager with day-to-day operations, guide the team through bustling service periods and drive guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting. You’ll lead crew training, elevate service quality and contribute to inventory and financial controls while fostering a positive, energetic culture on shift.

Job Description

At Guzman y Gomez, we believe in authentic flavors and the power of food to bring people together. As an Assistant Restaurant Manager at GYG, you will be supporting the Restaurant Manager with day-to-day operations, as well as guiding the team through bustling service periods. You will spearhead crew training, elevate the guest experience, and contribute to the management of inventory and finances.

We value diverse experience, but we’re specifically looking for candidates who have:

• Leadership Experience - Previous leadership experience in a busy, high-volume hospitality or QSR environment.
• Performance Focus: A proven track record of achieving KPIs, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive strong team performance.
• People Skills - Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a young team.
• Attitude - A positive, can-do attitude, high emotional intelligence and a genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• Availability - Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
