Job summary

Amida Group in Brisbane areas is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator, Assistant Project Manager or Site Engineer to join as an Assistant PM. You will support project planning, design coordination, procurement and cost control on a mix of new build apartment, townhouse, industrial and commercial projects in the Brisbane City Fringe.

Ideal candidates have prior client-side or contractor experience, strong communication, and a willingness to learn the developer side.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar.
• Experience on residential or accommodation building projects is preferred.
• Exposure to end-to-end project management on building projects is ideal.
• Strong verbal and written communication and strategic thinking required.

Responsibilities

• Client management and consultation on project needs.
• Plan projects and conduct feasibility studies.
• Manage design processes and design coordination.
• Procure construction services and manage procurement activities.
• Deliver construction services and oversee cost reporting.
• Administer post-contract duties, commissioning, and handover.

Projects from $5m to $20m+ across apartment and residential builds as well as a variety of sectors including commercial, industrial, retail and across new build, refurb and fit out.

Our client is a growing developer builder and developer who also undertake some client-side consultancy project management work. They are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator or Assistant Project Manager or Site Engineer who will take on a role of Assistant Project Manager in the business. It will be working on a mix of exciting new projects including new build apartment, townhouse, industrial as well as commercial projects in the Brisbane City Fringe. Projects will be from smaller up to $20m+.

Project experience specifically related to residential, townhouses, apartments, industrial, retail and commercial etc. Candidates can come from main contractor, client-side, consultancy or developer.

Candidates having experience in head contracting would suit their developer builder projects so people with a background as a contract administrator or site engineer on the head contractor side would be ideal. They will also have the opportunity to learn the developer side.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Client management and consultation
• Project Planning/Feasibility studies
• Design Management
• Procurement of construction services
• Delivery of constructions services
• Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
• Commissioning and post contract duties for handover

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
• Experience on residential/accommodation building projects
• Ideally experience of end-to-end project management on building projects
• Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous client-side project management experience is ideal
