Job summary

SchoolHouse is partnering with a Catholic College for girls in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne to recruit an Assistant Principal focusing on Teaching & Learning. The role sits within a well-established leadership team and reports directly to the Principal.

Key responsibilities include strategic leadership of curriculum, learning, and professional growth, plus development and evaluation of teaching priorities and whole-school improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary teacher qualifications (e.g., Masters of Teaching, Bachelor of Education or PGCE).
• Current VIT registration (or eligibility to gain) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in curriculum, learning, teaching and professional growth.
• Lead development, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning priorities.
• Build leadership capacity and support staff through professional growth and accountability.
• Demonstrate evidence-informed pedagogy to improve school-wide outcomes.
• Report to the Principal and be part of the executive leadership team.
