Holroyd School is a School for Specific Purpose (SSP) located in Merrylands, NSW. The student cohort includes 200 students from Kindergarten through Year 12, all of whom present at school with unique personalities, strengths, and complex, diverse and dynamic needs, the functional impact of a moderate or severe intellectual disability, co‑occurring disabilities and health conditions. The school's program focus on student empowerment, the essential skills for learning, wellbeing and independence, learning is supported by explicit teaching practices, and diverse experiences and opportunities for students as they learn and grow. Effective consultation with students, families and, student support networks, strengthen personalised learning and support provision for students at school. The school community works and learns together to continuously improve on a journey toward equity and excellence, so every student succeeds and excels in their personal journey of independence, wellbeing and learning.
The Assistant Principal (AP) position is a multifaceted teaching and leading role that directly impacts the school's culture and student outcomes. The role is a primary driver of the school's daily operations, student and staff support and the school's equity and excellence journey.
