Job summary

Siena Catholic College is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Assistant Principal Religious Education to lead the religious life of the College, nurture its Catholic identity, and inspire excellence in faith formation, teaching, learning and student wellbeing across the school.

Location: Sippy Downs, Sunshine Coast. Start date January 2027. Salary: $149,763 - $157,120 per annum plus 12.75% super. This is a substantive 5-year appointment with a further 5-year option subject to review.

About The Opportunity

Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) invites applications for this School Senior Leadership position with the capability to support the Principal in:

In This Position You Will Be Responsible For

• Leading, promoting and strengthening the Catholic identity of the school by embedding faith, values and mission across school life, learning and community engagement;
• Embedding a culture of inclusion, diversity and belonging that reflects Catholic values and supports the overall well-being of all;
• Fostering a high-performance culture by supporting and inspiring staff through providing professional learning and development opportunities and providing vision, direction and purpose;
• Supporting staff and students in their personal, professional and spiritual growth through formation, theological learning and reflective practice within a Catholic Christian context;
• Leading and managing assigned staff, finances and resources in accordance with legislative requirements, Archdiocesan expectations and BCE policies and procedures.

About You

To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:

• Experience as an Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal Religious Education, Deputy Principal, Head of Campus or Principal, or a senior role providing support and leadership to Catholic schools, or equivalent experience
• Experience in teaching, and leading the teaching of, religious education.

Eligibility And Safeguarding Requirements

• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
• For this position you are required to be Catholic (or a faith partner of one of our ecumenical schools).
