A local government authority in Melbourne seeks an Assistant Planning Arborist to join their Statutory Planning team. The role involves assessing proposals impacting vegetation, reviewing landscape plans, and guiding community interactions. The position is full-time with hybrid work arrangements and a salary range of $80,337 - $93,517 plus superannuation. Graduates are encouraged to apply.
We have an opportunity for an Assistant Planning Arborist to join the Statutory Planning team. In this position, you will work closely with our Arborist, Landscape Assessment Officer, Planners, and Development Engineers to contribute to Knox maintaining and improving its green leafy image while providing appropriate development outcomes.
The duties of the role include assessing impacts of proposed developments on existing vegetation, assessing applications for removal/pruning of trees and vegetation, assessing landscape plans, and providing guidance to the Statutory Planning team and the community.
This is a full-time permanent role based at Civic Centre in Wantirna South; however, we can offer hybrid working arrangements and flexible work options for the right candidate.
This is a Band 5 classified role, remuneration will be $80,337 - $93,517 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
