Job summary

ALH Hotels’ Western Hotel in Port Augusta is seeking an Assistant Manager to keep the venue buzzing with locals. The role combines hands-on leadership with guest service, coordinating front-of-house teams and supporting the Publican.

You’ll lead a team, manage daily operations, ensure safety, and help drive a warm, value-for-money experience. A current RSA/RSG/RP badge is required, and you’ll enjoy group-wide discounts, wellbeing support, and the security of a solid base salary.

Qualifications

• This hands-on role requires physical tasks such as moving stock and deliveries.
• Must hold a current RSA, RSG and RP Badge as per state requirements.
• You’ve worked in bar, bistro, or gaming rooms and have supervised teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-of-house teams to deliver consistent service and vibes.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly and safely.
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while guiding a team of staff.
• Handle hiccups quickly to maintain a positive guest experience.
