Job summary

Endeavour Group's Ocean Beach Hotel is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Publican and lead a hospitality team in a lively bar, bistro, and entertainment venue. The role offers a base salary from A$80,000 plus super, bonus schemes, and group-wide discounts, with growth opportunities within the Endeavour Group network.

You will be physically active, manage staff across shifts, and ensure safe, smooth operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences to locals and visitors alike.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role with manual handling and lifting.
• Requires RSA/RCG/ARCG as per state requirements.
• Experience supervising front-of-house or back-of-house teams beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team during shifts and provide guidance to staff.

We’re on the hunt for our next Assistant Manager to help keep the Ocean Beach Hotelbuzzing and loved by the locals.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RCG and ARCG as per state requirements
