Job summary

ARRCS is hiring Hospitality Workers for Aged Care in Tennant Creek. Roles include Cleaning, Laundry and Kitchen support across a 76-hour fortnight roster. Positions are full-time with a base rate of $30.86 per hour plus penalties and super, and operate under ARRCS Enterprise Agreement 2023.

Strong focus on patient-centered service, flexibility for shift work, and a commitment to improving residents' wellbeing are essential. Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment with awareness of HACCP storage legislation.
• Food Handler Course SITXFSA005 and willingness to obtain.
• Willing to assist kitchen operations including cleaning of dishes.
• Commit to rostered shifts; understand impact on elderly residents when shifts are incomplete.
• Comfortable with rotating rosters and additional hospitality shifts including cleaning and laundry.
• Able to work independently and with others.
• Commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.
• Positive, enthusiastic, 'can-do' attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in facility services across Cleaning, Laundry and Kitchen duties.
• Work across a 24/7 roster to meet operational needs.
• Assist with meal preparation support and kitchen functions as required.
• Maintain hygienic practices and assist with general facility upkeep.
• Contribute to a respectful and patient-centered aged care environment.

About the role

ARRCS are committed to the Tennant Creek Region and have the following vacancies across our services from October 2026 opportunities available for 1 - 4 years. Pulkapulkka Kari Aged Care Hospitality Workers Aged Care - 3 x Full-Time positions ($30.86 per hour base rate + penalties + super) per ARRCS Enterprise Agreement 2023 76 hours per Fortnight, Shift Work Roster Monday to Sunday. Providing support in our facility services area, these positions include Cleaning / Laundry / Kitchen assistant duties. Great variety in the day to day job role working across the facility.

Skills & Experience

• Experience working in a kitchen environment where you have helped cooks prepare for meals, and aware of HACCAP storage legislation - be willing to Obtain
• Food Handler Course SITXFSA005 - Use hygienic practices for food safety - be willing to Obtain
• Comfortable to support kitchen operations which also includes cleaning of all dishes
• Ability to commit to rostered shifts and understanding of the impact on our elderly residents when allocated shifts are not completed
• Comfortable to support operations in rotating rosters
• Comfortable to support operations with other hospitality shifts when required which will include cleaning and laundry
• Ability to work well independently as well as with other team members
• A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
• A motivated, enthusiastic, and positive 'can-do' attitude

Willingness to Obtain

• Current National Police Check (dated within 3 Months)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Annual Influenza vaccination
• First Aid Certificate
• Availability to work across a 24/7 Roster to meet operational needs
• NT Drivers' License
