Job summary

Collision Care Group is seeking an Assistant Manager / Estimator to join our growing workshop team in Victoria. You will work closely with the Shop Manager to balance estimating, customer service and workshop operations, while delivering an exceptional experience for customers.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will prepare accurate repair estimates, liaise with insurers and suppliers, and help drive productivity and quality across the repair centre.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Estimator within the collision repair industry.
• Leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of repair methods and estimating systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Current driver's licence.
• A positive attitude with a genuine desire to support and develop a successful team.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers, insurers and suppliers throughout the repair process.
• Assist in managing daily workshop operations and vehicle workflow.
• Support production scheduling to ensure vehicles progress efficiently.
• Monitor repair quality, timelines and customer expectations.
• Assist with parts coordination and communicate any repair variations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to workshop and office staff.
• Help achieve key performance targets including productivity, cycle time and customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer enquiries professionally and promptly.
• Ensure company policies, safety procedures and quality standards are consistently followed.
• Step into the Shop Manager role during periods of leave or absence.
