Job summary

Endeavour Group is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Crows Nest Hotel, a historic and re-energised venue in Sydney's north. The role focuses on leading a team, delivering high-quality service across busy Friday nights, family dining and live events, and supporting the Publican to keep the pub vibrant and safe.

You will be hands-on, physically active, and require RSA/RCG/ARCG where applicable. The position offers base salary from AUD 80,000 plus super, with a bonus scheme and group-wide

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality experience across bar, bistro or gaming room.
• Some supervising experience preferred.
• Current RSA/RCG/ARCG as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Get to know the locals and be part of the crew.
• Support the Publican to run the pub smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of hospitality staff.
• Handle hiccups before they become headaches.
• Bring energy, service and smiles to every shift.

A Crows Nest institution since 1929, The Crows Nest Hotel on the corner of Willoughby Road and Falcon Street has just undergone a stunning renovation. We blend decades of history with a modern, high-energy atmosphere. We are seeking hospitality professionals to join our team and deliver quality service across massive Friday knock-offs, family bistro dining, and live gig events. If you want to work in a fast-paced, premium venue that locals know and love, we want to hear from you.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA, RCG and ARCG as per state requirements
