Rural Funds Management invites an experienced Assistant Manager to support the Farm Manager at Lynora Downs cropping property in Central Queensland. The role focuses on hands-on leadership in broadacre cropping, with preference for cotton, and managing a small team to deliver reliable harvests.

You will coordinate crop establishment, irrigation, and safety practices, while maintaining accurate records and fostering a productive, family-friendly rural workplace.

Qualifications

• Extensive broadacre cropping experience with cotton and irrigation.
• Experience in managing teams of staff and contractors.
• Proficiency with Excel for budgeting and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Current Chemical Certificate and Driver’s Licence.

Responsabilités

• Provide farm management cover in the absence of the Farm Manager.
• Coordinate crop establishment, fertilising, sowing and cultivation.
• Irrigation coordination, implementation and maintenance.
• Crop management including herbicide and pesticide application.
• Operate broadacre farming plant and equipment.
• Maintain records for inputs, maintenance activities, chemical applications, payroll and time sheets.
• Support safety training and development of team members.
