Job summary

The Caloundra Hotel, part of the Endeavour Group network, is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a busy floor and a large team in a high-volume coastal venue.

You will drive frontline operations across bar, dining, gaming and retail areas, ensuring safe, efficient service and a VIP guest experience especially during packed weekend periods. Strong leadership and licensing compliance are essential to succeed in this vibrant community hub.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role requiring physical tasks and lifting.
• Experience supervising a team in a fast-paced venue.
• Current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and lead the crew on shifts.
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.

Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of the most vibrant and high-volume coastal venues on the sunny coast? The Caloundra Hotel is looking for a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to keep a large crew moving in sync.

"The Caloundra" is a high-performing community flagship. Whether it’s a packed weekend crowd watching the footy, a bustling family dinner rush in the bistro, or managing our premium gaming and retail operations, this venue requires a leader who loves being right at the center of a high-energy trade. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and ensure our sun-seeking locals and regulars receive gold-class hospitality on every shift.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
