Job summary

Beachfront Hotel in Darwin is seeking a proactive Assistant Manager to run the floor at a high-volume coastal venue. You will lead a large team during busy shifts, ensuring safety, smooth operation and exceptional hospitality for locals and visitors alike.

Ideal candidates bring supervisory experience, RSA/RSG and a Gaming Machine Manager Licence, with a passion for delivering gold-class service in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on role with physical tasks (stock, kegs, deliveries).
• Experience supervising teams in hospitality preferred.
• Strong guest service focus and ability to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Get to know locals and act as the pub's face when the boss is away.

Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of the most vibrant, high-volume coastal venues in Darwin? The Beachfront Hotel is looking for a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to keep a large crew moving in sync.

"The Beachy" is a buzzing Top End powerhouse. Whether it's a packed crowd catching the sunset on the outdoor deck, a bustling dinner rush in the bistro, or managing our premium gaming and bar operations, this venue requires a leader who loves being right at the center of a high-energy trade. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and ensure our diverse mix of local regulars and tourists receive gold-class hospitality on every single shift.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:

• Get to know the locals so well they think you’re part of the crew
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely, and with a great vibe
• Learn the ropes of being a Publican while leading a team of absolute hospo legends
• Handle hiccups before they turn into headaches
• Bring the energy, the service, and the smiles every single shift

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You’ve been around the bar, bistro, or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervising
• You’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step up
• You’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away
• You’ve got a current RSA/RSG and aNT Gaming Machine Managers Licence as per state requirements
