BDO Australia is seeking an Assistant Manager in our Brisbane Business Services team to own a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality compliance and advisory services. You’ll support junior team members, review work with Managers and Partners, and help advance client engagements.

This role suits an experienced Senior Accountant ready to step into leadership or an Assistant Manager expanding current duties, with exposure to diverse clients and industries across Brisbane.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or CPA (or nearing completion).
• Experience in Business Services or professional services accounting.
• Strong technical skills in financial statements, tax compliance and advisory.
• Experience reviewing work and guiding junior team members.
• Proven ability to build client relationships and manage multiple engagements.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in developing others and building leadership capability.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns across entity structures.
• Deliver business and tax advisory services, including planning and business structuring.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and act as a trusted point of contact.
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide timely feedback.
• Mentor, coach and support Graduates, Accountants and Intermediate Accountants.
• Assist Managers with workflow coordination, delegation and prioritisation.
• Support delivery of complex client engagements and advisory projects.
• Liaise with clients, Managers and Partners to ensure on-time delivery.
• Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
