Job summary

Solotel Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for The Woodstock, a major Western Sydney hospitality venue. You will lead a dynamic team across dining, bars, gaming, and live entertainment, setting service standards and shaping culture.

In this hands-on role, you will manage opening/closing procedures, rostering, recruitment, and staff development while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong financial controls in a high-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hospitality teams in pubs or large venues.
• Strong customer service and guest experience focus.
• Proven ability to manage day-to-day venue operations and staff rosters.

Responsibilities

• Oversee venue from gaming floors to dining and bars.
• Lead and coach teams to maintain high service standards.
• Handle opening/closing, banking, rostering, and back-of-house admin.

We are on the hunt for a seasoned Assistant Manager who loves engaging with their local community to drive business success and guest experience at The Woodstock!

The Role

As Assistant Manager, you’re an inspirational people leader with hospitality in your DNA. You thrive in fast-paced pub environments, confidently overseeing the entire venue from gaming floors and live entertainment to busy bars and dining rooms while setting the tone for service, standards, and culture.

Hands-on and operational, the role oversees the day-to-day running of the venue including opening and closing, back-of-house administration and banking, hiring, rostering, and developing high-performing teams. You lead from the front, motivating and coaching your team through busy services, maintaining high standards across all areas of the venue, and ensuring the patron experience is exceptional—every time.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about great food and have a genuine interest in creative, well executed beverages that enhance the guest experience with a background working as an Assistant Manager for some of Sydney’s most reputable pubs!
