Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network seeks an Assistant in Nursing (AIN1-4) for the Primary Care team at Bathurst Correctional Centre on a casual basis. The role operates within the Scope of Practice and is accountable to a Registered Nurse.

The Bathurst site offers a supportive clinical team, access to training and education, on-site parking and a focus on safe, inclusive healthcare in a unique correctional setting.

The Role

We’re currently looking for an Assistant in Nursing to join our team. This position requires the employee to undertake activities for which they have the legal authority and competence to perform (please refer to the Scope of Practice document). Bathurst Correctional Centre is a mixed-security facility for male offenders located in the centre of Bathurst, 1 hour from Orange and the Blue Mountains, and 210 kilometres west of Sydney. The complex serves as a reception prison for western NSW.

On-site you’ll find a close-knit clinical team led by a passionate & enthusiastic Nurse Unit Manager that encourages the development of staff.
