Randstad Aged Care is actively seeking enthusiastic and reliable Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to join our team for flexible casual shift fill opportunities across a variety of reputable aged care facilities and clients in the Albury area. As a valued member of the Randstad Aged Care team, you will provide essential support to Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents within various aged care settings. You will have the convenience of picking up shifts through our user-friendly app, directly assisting facilities with covering staffing needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting residents with their personal care needs, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and comfort of residents.
  • Assisting residents with meals and fluids, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Observing and reporting any changes in residents' condition or behaviour to the nursing staff.
  • Assisting with basic observations such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, as directed by nursing staff.
  • Maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for residents, including assisting with bed making and tidying resident areas.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Assisting with activities of daily living and encouraging resident participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Adhering to facility policies and procedures, including infection control and safety guidelines.
  • Working collaboratively with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience (paid or unpaid) providing personal care to individuals, preferably within an aged care setting in Australia.
  • A genuine passion for caring for residents and a commitment to providing person-centered care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact respectfully and empathetically with residents, families, and staff.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • A current and valid National Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (as required by legislation and facility policies).
  • A willingness to obtain a current Influenza vaccination (annual renewal required).
  • Willingness to obtain COVID-19 vaccinations as required by facility policies.
