The Redland Hospital, part of Bayside Health Service, is seeking an Assistant in Nursing to support Registered Nurses and deliver compassionate, person-centred care. You will join the Permanent Nursing and Midwifery Pool and contribute to safe ward operations.

Roles include assisting with delegated patient care, maintaining a clean, well-organised environment, and collaborating with the healthcare team. A pathway for ongoing education and development is provided.

Your new role:

Join the Permanent Nursing and Midwifery Pool at Redland Hospital and play an important role in delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care across Bayside Health Service. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will:

• Support Registered Nurses in providing direct and indirect person-centred care, working within your education, training and level of competence.
• Assist with delegated patient care, observe and report patient needs and contribute to the effective day-to-day functioning of the ward or unit.
• Help maintain a safe, clean and well-organised clinical environment, including restocking clinical stores, checking equipment and completing other ward duties as required.
• Work collaboratively as part of the healthcare team, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, integrity and compassionate communication with patients, families and colleagues.

Unit Profile

The Permanent Nursing and Midwifery Pool is a unique unit within Bayside Health Service. Permanent Pool staff are rostered on a 4-week roster and are expected to work all 3 shifts on a rotating roster. Staff are then assigned to areas throughout the hospital to cover emergent leave on the wards.
