Job summary

Aegis Banksia Park in Calista, Western Australia, is seeking reliable and experienced AINs to support elderly residents with daily living, mobility and personal care. There are morning, afternoon and night shifts available for the right candidate, in a friendly, respectful team.

You will help residents participate in activities, assist at meals, and support safe medication administration. A Certificate III in Aged Care (or higher), at least 2 years in a similar role, Australian working rights

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or higher/equivalent) required.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Full Australian working rights and police clearance.
• Preferably living in the local area.
• Own car and driving license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents in daily routines and meaningful activities.
• Support and administer medications in line with policy and procedures.
• Assist at mealtimes to ensure a dignified dining experience.

We are seeking reliable and experienced AINs for our beautiful Aegis Banksia Park facility.

We have a variety of shifts available, including morning, afternoon, and night duty shifts, for the right candidate.

• Compassionate and patient, with a genuine passion for supporting elderly residents and promoting their dignity and independence.
• Experienced (or willing to learn) in assisting with personal care, mobility support, and daily living activities.
• Strong communicator who can build trusting relationships with residents, families, and the wider healthcare team.
• Reliable, observant, and attentive to changes in residents’ health or wellbeing, with a commitment to reporting accurately.
• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and maintains a positive, respectful attitude at all times.

This role focuses on delivering a high standard of lifestyle support that reflects each resident’s individual preferences and aligns with best practice care. You will make a genuine difference in residents’ lives by providing respectful, safe, and person-centred assistance with:

• Engaging Residents in daily routines and meaningful activities that enhance wellbeing.
• Supporting and administering medications in accordance with policy and procedures.
• Assisting at mealtimes in line with Aegis’ Excellence in Dining strategy to ensure an enjoyable and dignified dining experience.

You will need to have:

• A certificate III in Aged Care (or higher/equivalent).
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
• Preferably someone living in the local area.
• Should have your own car and driving license.

Aegis Banksia Park has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for all residents.Calista is a suburb surrounded by natural bushland. Aegis Banksia Park have used this connection to name each of the areas or wings after native flora. There are Acacia, Boronia, Grevillea, Waratah, Banksia and the recently renovated and extended Rosella and Myrtle. Aegis Banksia Park is an ageing in place facility and both High and Low Care accommodation is available in all areas. Acacia and Waratah offer specialist secure Dementia Care.

Accommodation comprises of single and double rooms with large ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. The different areas or wings all have lounge and dining areas and access to courtyard areas.
