Job summary

Queensland Health's Caboolture Hospital is seeking an Assistant in Nursing to support the Specialist Outpatient Department. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse or midwife, you will deliver compassionate, person-centred care and assist with delegated nursing tasks to ensure safe, high-quality experiences for consumers and families.

Support specialised outpatient services as an Assistant in Nursing, delivering compassionate patient care and assisting multidisciplinary teams to provide safe, high-quality healthcare experiences for consumers and families.

About the role

The Assistant in Nursing provides valuable support to the nursing team within the Specialist Outpatient Department at Caboolture Hospital. Working under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or midwife, this role contributes to the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred care while supporting the effective operation of outpatient services.

The successful candidate will assist with delegated nursing care activities, support consumers throughout their healthcare journey, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to promote positive patient outcomes. The role also contributes to maintaining a safe clinical environment, identifying opportunities for improvement, and supporting the efficient functioning of the Specialist Outpatient Department.
