Job summary

Mount St Benedict College invites applications for a permanent full-time Assistant Head of Department in the Science Faculty, commencing Term 1, 2027. The role supports the Head of Department in curriculum development and the quality of teaching and learning for each student.

Applicants should have relevant science teaching qualifications, Physics experience, NESA registration, a Working with Children Check, leadership capability (or working towards it), and familiarity with the Good Samaritan

Qualifications

• Relevant teaching qualifications in Science.
• Previous experience teaching Physics.
• Current NESA Registration.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Leadership experience or working towards.
• Understanding of Good Samaritan Schools Teaching and Learning Framework.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Previous experience in a middle leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Department in curriculum development and supervision of teaching quality.
• Contribute to ongoing development and supervision of curriculum and teaching and learning for Science students.
