Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Coordinators and Finance Officers across creditors, debtors and related functions.
• Ensure compliance with the Local Government Act 1995, associated regulations and Australian Accounting Standards.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and period-end close processes.
• Support budgeting, annual financial statements, audit processes and grant acquittals.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of a new chart of accounts and finance system as part of the ERP project.
• Provide high-quality advice and support to executive and Council as required.

CRG has been engaged by the Shire of East Pilbara to recruit a highly capable Assistant Finance Manager to provide leadership and continuity while the current incumbent is seconded to another division.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting the Manager Financial Services and Director Corporate Services during a significant ERP digital transformation. You will oversee the Shire's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficient service delivery across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
