Digital Canberra is seeking an experienced Assistant Director, Protective Security to lead governance and oversight of the protective security program across the ACT Government.

The role coordinates governance, personnel, physical and information security activities, ensuring alignment with the ACT Protective Security Framework and whole-of-government requirements. You will translate strategic objectives into operational outcomes and strengthen security maturity.

Qualifications

• Australian citizenship and NV1 security clearance required.
• Experience in governance, risk, compliance and assurance for security.
• Ability to work with policy, risk, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the protective security governance program across ACT Government.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and reporting.
• Provide risk-based security advice to stakeholders and partners.
• Support security capability improvements and business case development.
