Elysium Noosa Resort invites an experienced finance professional to join as Assistant Director of Finance. Working with the Director of Finance, you’ll supervise the Accounts Department and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for leaders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; CA or CPA qualified (or working towards it).
• Experience in hotel or hospitality finance, supervisory or assistant controller role.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems, reconciliations, month-end processes and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance managers.
• A sharp eye for detail and the confidence to question numbers that don’t look right.
• Experience with Accor policies or audit programs is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Accounts Department day to day, managing AP, AR, Payroll and Stores teams.
• Run bi-weekly Finance Office briefings and monthly Finance Department meetings.
• Prepare daily interface journals; balance ledgers with General Ledger.
• Approve AP journals and creditor payments; oversee inventory-to-payables interface.
• Issue and manage month-end timetable; prepare journals for wages, accruals, stock movements.
• Complete monthly reconciliations and report to Director of Finance.
• Deliver timely reporting: operating statements, revenue reports, capital expenditure reports.
• Assist with annual budget, monthly forecasts, and Sun/TM1 uploads.
• Help department heads understand systems, results, budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee payroll payments and sign-offs; act as bank signatory.
• Lodge statutory reports and ensure internal controls and audit recommendations are actioned.
• Maintain GST, privacy, AML/CTF, superannuation and gaming regulatory compliance.
