Job summary

Gold Coast Health is seeking an Assistant Director of Occupational Therapy (Acute Services) to lead a 14,000-strong OT team across acute services on the Gold Coast and northern NSW region.

You will provide advanced clinical expertise, governance and strategic direction, guiding senior therapists and a support staff cohort while driving service initiatives and quality improvements in a large tertiary hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Evidence of vaccination or ability to be vaccinated against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, pertussis and hepatitis B.
• Driver Licence.
• Criminal History Screening required for new employees (GCH will cover cost).

The Role

An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Director - Occupational Therapy (Acute Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Provide independent clinical services of a highly complex and varied nature
• Contribute to day-to-day caseload management and professional leadership tasks
• Lead initiatives to be implemented for Occupational Therapy Services
• Lead clinical governance processes in a timely and effective manner
• Provide management to senior occupational therapists within acute services

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Driver Licence
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

• Base salary ranging from $73.12 - $76.30 per hour
