Job summary

Catholic Early EdCare’s Augustine Heights service is seeking an energetic Assistant Coordinator to support the Coordinator in delivering Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care programs for up to 195 children. You’ll help plan engaging activities, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for every child.

With a Diploma in Children's Services and required Blue Card, First Aid, CPR and relevant training, you’ll lead with warmth and collaboration, building strong

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Children's Services or ACECQA equivalent is required.
  • Blue Card/Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR are mandatory.
  • National Childcare Training completion or willingness to complete prior to start.
  • Knowledge of National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place and National Law/Regulations.
  • Experience in OSHC or education and care settings is preferred.
  • Child protection training is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Coordinator with day-to-day operation of the service.
  • Assist with program planning, implementation and documentation.
  • Contribute to staff rostering, supervision and team support.
  • Complete administrative and financial tasks, including fee collection.
  • Help deliver high-quality, inclusive educational experiences.
  • Foster a safe, welcoming environment for all children.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively within an established team to achieve outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and development.
  • Act as the Responsible Person when required in the Coordinator's absence.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Children's Services (or ACECQA equivalent)
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
  • Current completion (or willingness to complete prior to commencement) of mandatory National Child Training (via Geckko).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework and National Law/Regulations
  • Experience in the education and care of children (OSHC).
  • Child protection training is a requirement for this role
  • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
  • Effective workplace communication
  • Leadership skills and the ability to lead a large team
