Job summary

Early Learning Victoria is opening a new 130-place centre in Newborough, co-located with Newborough Primary School, offering long day care and Three- and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs. The role involves leading daily operations with the Centre Director, ensuring high-quality educational practices, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The position requires demonstrated leadership in early childhood education, knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Victorian standards, and

Qualifications

• Demonstrated pedagogical and leadership experience in early childhood education and care.
• Extensive understanding of ECEC National Law & Regulations, NQF, Child Safe Standards and Victorian Early Years Learning Framework.
• Experience in financial management and administration for ECEC.
• Ability to lead teaching teams and manage staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at the service alongside the Centre Director.
• Deliver on organisational and local pedagogical priorities; foster strong educational practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Support staff recruitment, development and enrolment management with ELV Central support.
• Foster a positive team culture and sustainable workforce.
