Job summary

THE ICONIC is seeking an Assistant Category Buyer to support the Womenswear Trend Team on a 12-month max term contract in Sydney. You will assist in procurement, monitor stock levels, and collaborate with Category Buyers to drive sales growth and optimize commercial outcomes.

You will engage with vendors, analyse data and trends, negotiate terms, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain compliance with policies.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Assistant Buyer in a high-volume environment.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Jira, Excel, BI, BC and knowledge of API integrations.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist in the procurement of your category and monitor stock levels.
Support Category Admin to resolve issues with orders, invoices, or deliveries.
Negotiate favourable terms with vendors for platform and wholesale contracts.
Analyse data and trends to propose informed commercial decisions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries and compliance.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and opportunities to improve the customer onsite experience.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage vendor performance.
