Brisbane Catholic Education Office is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Financial Accounting Services team. This role leads day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations and supports financial accounting activities across a large education network.

You will work with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate processing, month-end tasks, and continuous improvement of financial systems and controls, with flexible, full-time arrangements and a commitment to child safety.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in transactional finance environments.
• Experience leading AP/AR functions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Focus on accuracy, customer service and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with Excel and financial software.

Aufgaben

• Oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations.
• Assist with workflow management and prioritisation of transactional finance activities.
• Monitor service delivery timeframes and contribute to performance outcomes.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and accounting processes.
• Support financial controls and compliance activities.
• Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
• Provide training to users of financial systems.
• Assist with preparation of audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Build positive relationships with stakeholders across BCE.
