We foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and inclusion—where diverse perspectives are celebrated and career paths are as unique as you.

Due to continued growth, WSP’s Water business is seeking an Asset Management Engineer to join our Asset Management and Planning (AMP) team in Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact projects that shape sustainable water management across Australia.

About The Team

Our nationally recognised AMP team specialises in strategic, master, and detailed planning for water and sewer networks, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and related infrastructure. With decades of local and global experience, we support utilities such as Urban Utilities, Sydney Water and SA Water in understanding asset health and forecasting renewals with confidence.

The team plays a pivotal role in delivering sustainable solutions—optimising water use, reducing waste, and enhancing resilience, especially in preparation for major events like the 2032 Brisbane Olympics.

We offer a collaborative, flexible, and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and career growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical asset management plans.
  • Analyse asset condition, performance, and operational data to inform decision-making.
  • Develop long-term investment profiles and renewal strategies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and establish risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide expert advice on asset management systems and process improvements.
  • Prepare clear and compelling reports, plans, and presentations.
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with eligibility for professional membership (e.g., Engineers Australia).
  • 4+ years of experience in asset management within the water or infrastructure sector.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles and frameworks (e.g., ISO 55000).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) and translating insights into action.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven project management and team collaboration capabilities.
  • Experience in risk assessment, investment planning, and business case development is highly desirable.
Why Choose WSP?
  • Be part of a globally connected team delivering meaningful water infrastructure projects.
  • Enjoy flexible work arrangements and a supportive, inclusive culture.
  • Access professional development and career advancement opportunities.
  • Contribute to projects that enhance community resilience and environmental sustainability.
