Job summary

Country Fire Authority in Melbourne—Southern suburbs seeks an Asset Project Officer to manage maintenance programs and minor building projects, coordinating contractors and engaging with brigades and regional stakeholders.

You will combine technical building knowledge with project management and strong communication to support CFA volunteers and staff across Victoria, while delivering safe, compliant, and cost-effective facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering building maintenance works programs and minor works projects.
• Strong project management, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Sound understanding of building legislation and maintenance practices.
• Proficient with asset management reporting systems including SAP and MS Office.
• Ability to coordinate with brigades and regional stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage building maintenance programs and minor works projects across allocated districts.
• Oversee contractors and coordinate with brigades and regional stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes.
• Ensure CFA stations and operational facilities remain fit for purpose and within budget.
• Deliver projects on time, within scope and with effective risk management.
