A full-time position exists for an Asset Engineer - Mechanical to join our Engineering team.
About The Position
In this role, you will contribute to the long-term performance and capability of our assets by providing expert engineering advice and support. You will be responsible for the development of technical and equipment standards, equipment strategies, and maintenance plans, as well as undertaking condition and risk assessments to ensure technical compliance.
This role is based in Cooma, working a standard Monday to Friday roster with hybrid working arrangements that include a minimum of 3 days in an office or on-site. We are pleased to offer relocation support to those looking to make the move to Cooma.
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering with 3-8 years relevant industry experience (e.g., hydropower, utilities, or heavy industrial).
Strong understanding of reliability engineering in hydropower, utilities markets, and balance of plant
Demonstrated experience in risk-based asset management and asset lifecycle frameworks.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements associated with asset management and regulatory maintenance.
Ability to balance short-term priorities and break-in work with longer-term core functions and deliverables
Proven ability to communicate, influence, and engage effectively with stakeholders, while working both autonomously and collaboratively within diverse geographic landscapes and adapting to changing business demands.
Willingness to travel to meet business requirements across the generating assets and build relationships with site-based teams.
