Job summary

Downer is inviting applications for an Asset Data Officer with permanent roles available in Brisbane, Cairns, or Townsville. This is part of a major PAS contract delivering base and estate services across NSW/ACT and QLD, supporting our long-standing relationship with the Australian Defence Force.

You will manage asset registers, validate and update data to Defence requirements, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, and provide data advice to project teams while continually improving

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Business or Data Management is desirable.
• Asset data maintenance and database management experience helpful.
• Experience with asset data and Defence data requirements is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing, validating, and updating asset register data per Defence requirements.
• Ensuring asset data accuracy and synchronization with Defence systems (e.g., GEMS).
• Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to verify and integrate data.
• Providing asset data advice and support to project teams and subcontractors.
• Supporting continuous improvement in asset data management processes and tools.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities include:

• Managing, validating, and updating asset register data in accordance with Defence requirements.
• Ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and synchronisation of asset data with Defence systems (e.g., GEMS).
• Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers to verify and integrate asset data for estate works, maintenance, and project delivery.
• Providing asset data advice and support to project teams and subcontractors.
• Supporting continuous improvement in asset data management processes and tools.

What You'll Bring

• Certificate III/IV in Business or Data Management. (desirable)
• Asset Management System Training Certification (desirable).
• Qualifications or experience in Engineering, Maintenance, or Financial Data Management.
• White Card and site access credentials (desirable).
• Demonstrated experience in asset data maintenance, administration, or database management.
