Job summary

Bega Group, a leading Australian dairy and food company, is seeking a Maintenance Planner for the Koroit site. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and optimizing preventive maintenance to keep operations running smoothly. You will collaborate across teams to support reliability and KPI achievement.

The ideal candidate has FMCG planning experience, engineering or trade qualifications, and strong CMMS and data-literacy skills. This is a permanent full-time on-site role at our Koroit facility.

Qualifications

• Experience planning in an FMCG environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multiple teams to meet KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Lead CMMS data maintenance and improve asset care strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations and contractors for planned work.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, safety and environmental regs.

The site produces a staggering 35 tonnes of lactoferrin extract annually!This role focuses on planning, scheduling preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support continuous operations. In this role, you’ll work closely with different teams, build strong working relationships, and help the maintenance team meet its key performance targets. You will come with previous experience in a planning role in FMCG so you will hit the ground running. We are looking for an experienced planning professional who can act as a 2IC as needed.This role is permanent full-time role, working Monday to Friday on site during normal site operating hours.ResponsibilitiesOrganize and schedule all maintenance and repair tasks to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime to achieve results and deliver KPILead the development and maintenance of the site CMMS (MEX) databaseEnsure compliance GMP, HACCP, safety, and environmental regulations.Support the implementation of the company’s long-term asset care and reliability strategy.Cross-Department Collaboration - communicate planned work with other teams to avoid disruptions and ensure alignmentAssist with contractor activities, reporting & documentations, and oversee inductions for site access.About youPrevious experience in an FMCG environment and in a planning roleEngineering Degree or Trade Experience (ideally in a Dairy/FMCG)Problem solving skills – process-based decision making and conflict solutionComputer literacy – experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and CMMS systems (MEX preferred)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and P&IDBega Group StoryBega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
