Job summary

SpanSet Australia is seeking experienced Sewing Machine Operators to join our Emu Plains production team. This permanent, full-time role is a day shift from 8 AM to 4 PM, located at our Australian manufacturing facility.

You will produce harnesses, lanyards and other textile safety gear with precision, follow patterns and quality standards, and participate in routine machine maintenance. Prior experience with industrial sewing machines and heavy-duty textiles is preferred, and applicants must

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Sewing Machine Operators and those who are willing to learn to help produce our world-class safety harnesses, lanyards, and other textile-based safety gear. Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture technical safety equipment (e.g., harnesses, webbing straps, and fall arrest systems)


• Sew and assemble heavy-duty synthetic materials (such as polyester webbing) with high precision


• Follow production specifications, patterns, and quality standards


• Conduct visual checks for stitching accuracy, strength, and finish


• Perform basic machine maintenance (threading, needle changes, cleaning)


• Meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality


• Collaborate with team members and supervisors in a clean, organised environment

What You’ll Bring

• Prior experience using industrial sewing machines is preferred


• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions


• Experience sewing heavy-duty or technical textiles is highly desirable
