Job summary

Busy Bees Lara is seeking an Assistant Centre Director to lead day-to-day operations and support the Centre Director in a busy, 103-place Lara VIC centre. You will mentor educators, build strong family partnerships, and help drive high-quality early education and safety compliance.

The role emphasizes leadership development, collaborative practice, and the Bee Curious curriculum, with a full-time, on-site work arrangement and a focus on child safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
• Current VIC Working with Children Check.
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and Child Protection legislation
• Leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a leadership role.
• A collaborative, positive and supportive leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Lead, mentor and inspire educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Support the Bee Curious curriculum.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.
