Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking experienced Asphalt Labourers to join a road construction crew operating across Mackay and Whitsunday regions. The role offers ongoing hours, overtime opportunities, and potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

You will assist with asphalt and bitumen works, maintain safety on site, and support the crew across projects from Mackay to the Whitsundays.

Qualifications

• Experience in asphalt and bitumen works.
• Construction White Card required.
• Roller RII/Ticket and valid driver’s licence required.
• Pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work extended hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with asphalt and bitumen road construction works.
• Shovel, spread and level asphalt materials.
• Support road crews with general labouring duties on site.
• Assist plant operators and crew members on site.
• Maintain a safe and productive work environment.
• Work across multiple Mackay and Whitsunday projects.

About the Client

Our client is a well-established road construction contractor delivering asphalt and bitumen services across the Mackay and Whitsunday regions. Due to ongoing project requirements, they are seeking experienced Asphalt Labourers to join their team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assisting with asphalt and bitumen road construction works
• Shovelling, spreading and levelling asphalt materials
• Supporting road crews with general labouring duties
• Assisting plant operators and crew members on site
• Maintaining a safe and productive work environment
• Working across various projects throughout the Mackay and Whitsunday region

What You Will Need

• Previous asphalt and bitumen experience (essential)
• Construction White Card
• Roller RII/Ticket
• Current QLD Driver's Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work extended hours when required
