Job summary

Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is seeking an Aseptic Compounding Technician to work full time in our on-site aseptic manufacturing facility, preparing chemotherapy, immunotherapy and clinical trial products for intravenous administration in cancer care.

Essential requirements include pharmacy experience or a strong science background, excellent communication, and knowledge of medication safety. WWCC, Police check and immunisation compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy experience or a strong science-based background.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with the health care team, patients and carers.
• Appreciation of medication safety principles.
• Understanding of cancer care delivery context.
• WWCC (Working with Children Check) in place or willingness to obtain.
• National Police Check within last 6 months or willingness to obtain.
• Immunisation requirements (Category A) compliance.

Responsibilities

• Aseptic compounding for chemotherapy, immunotherapy and clinical trial products.
• Production preparation including worksheet and batch assembly.
• Safe product decontamination and handling of materials.
• Environmental monitoring and aseptic processing quality compliance.
• Dispatch of finished products to Day Therapy Unit and facility support.
