• Identify and apply tools and methods for architecture development to maintain consistency with requirements.
• Review proposals against architectural standards, guidelines, principles and reference models.
• Act as a SME and provide guidance to ensure designs align with ASD Enterprise Architectures.
• Demonstrate research and analysis to support solution design and options.
• Represent ASD in internal and external forums and committees.
• Contribute to project plans and documentation using project management knowledge.
• Identify stakeholder expectations and communicate methodologies to achieve outcomes.

Job description

The Opportunity

An ASD 6 and EL1 Solutions Architect may lead a team and will be accountable for the outcomes of the teams work through appropriate use of resources to produce and achieve outcomes. An EL1 Solutions Architect will also be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships.

Key Duties:

• Work collaboratively with delivery divisions to develop designs, policies, standards and frameworks to support a broad range of business use cases, ensuring consistency across the organisation, and compliance with security standards.
• Ensures appropriate tools and methods are identified, understood and employed in architecture development. In order to retain consistency with specified requirements across projects or programs.
• Facilitate the review and evaluation of proposals against existing architectural standards, guidelines, principles, design patterns and technical reference models.
• Act as a subject matter expert and a source of guidance for projects to ensure architectural designs and solutions align with ASD’s Enterprise Architectures.
• Demonstrate detailed research and analysis skills in support of the solution design activities and the development of options to achieve the required business needs.
• Represent the interests of the ASD on a range of internal and external forums and committees.
• Draw upon project management knowledge to contribute to project plans and documentation.
• Actively manage key stakeholder relationships and be required to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes.
