Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is seeking an Asbestos Counter/Identifier to join our NSW laboratory team, based in Girraween. The role requires performing routine asbestos analytical tests, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting workflow in a busy lab.

You will calibrate and maintain equipment, follow SOPs, and contribute to the accuracy of results. A Certificate 4 in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent is preferred, with training provided and career progression

Qualifications

• A Certificate 4 in Laboratory Techniques or equivalent is typically required.
• Experience in asbestos identification in building materials, soils, or air is desirable.
• Adherence to SOPs and proficiency in quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine asbestos analytical tests and sample preparation as required.
• Control own workflows and ensure timely testing with integrity of results.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment; keep maintenance logs up to date.
• Follow quality control procedures and report issues with corrective actions.
