Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Australia is seeking an experienced IT professional with 8–10 years in the field, including 6+ years on AS400 (IBM iSeries). You will work on AS400 development and production support, evaluating issues, RCA and permanent fixes, and driving automation and monitoring improvements.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex incidents and resolve issues with timely RCA and permanent fixes.
• Provide production support and incident resolution within SLA.
• Recommend automation and improvements to monitoring and support processes.
• Translate business requirements into effective AS400 technical solutions.
• Collaborate with clients in Australia on AS400 projects.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

• 8-10 years of overall IT experience, including 6+ years of hands-on AS400 (IBM iSeries) experience.
• Strong expertise in AS400 development and support, with proficiency in RPG, CLLE, and SYNON.
• Demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• Experience in application support, maintenance, incident resolution, and production support activities.
• Handle complex and critical incidents, resolve issues. Identify root cause (RCA) and provide permanent fixes. Ensure timely resolution within SLA
• Recommend automation for repetitive tasks, Improve monitoring, alerting & support processes.

Good to have skills :

• Retail domain experience, with strong understanding of Warehouse Management and Supply Chain operations.
• Hands-on experience in SYNON development, including application enhancement, maintenance, and support activities.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions within the AS400 environment.
• Experience supporting warehouse management applications and troubleshooting production issues in a retail environment.
