Job summary

Universal Store in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Visual Merchandiser to elevate in-store presentation across our network. You will lead by example, coach store teams, and develop displays that reflect current fashion trends and our brand direction.

This role involves regular travel to multiple North-West Brisbane stores, maintaining high presentation standards from steaming to labeling to drive sales and strengthen customer connections with the Universal Store brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong visual merchandising capability with styling and brand presentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and lead others to achieve high visual standards.
• Strong organisational skills with keen attention to visual cues.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to uphold and elevate visual merchandising standards across stores.
• Develop and execute visually engaging displays and concepts aligned with fashion trends and brand direction.
• Ensure product presentation is consistently high, including steaming, tagging and labeling.
• Maintain clean, organised visual merchandising areas at all times.
• Coach and guide store teams to maximise impact of displays and campaigns.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a creative and experienced Visual Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and elevating our visual merchandising standards across stores, leading by example, and coaching team members to deliver exceptional in‑store presentation. Your work will play a key role in driving sales performance and strengthening customer connection with the Universal Store brand.

Please note: This role requires regular travel to multiple store locations across North-West Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example to uphold and elevate visual merchandising standards across all stores.
• Develop and execute visually engaging displays and concepts that align with current fashion trends and brand direction.
• Ensure all product presentation is consistently at a high standard, including steaming, hard‑tagging, shoe labelling and overall product readiness.
• Maintain clean, organised and efficient visual merchandising areas at all times.
• Coach, support and guide store teams within your region to maximise the impact of in‑store displays, product presentation and promotional campaigns.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in a retail leadership or supervisory role, with proven ability to coach and influence others.
• Strong visual merchandising capability, with a creative eye for styling, trends and brand presentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with store teams.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead and inspire others to achieve high visual standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a sharp awareness of visual cues and store presentation.
