The Role

The Asset Area Supervisor will oversee the operations and maintenance of the Flat Rocks and Albany Grasmere Wind Farm Assets, supervising the respective O&M providers to ensure safe operations, maximise plant performance and revenues, minimise downtime and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure Asset compliance with Legal, Safety and Environment requirements
  • Ensure Asset compliance with performance parameters defined by the Operation and Maintenance/Asset Management function related to operation, maintenance, availability, etc., and prepare relevant reporting
  • Monitor daily activities of plant personnel, including availability outside business hours to manage critical events/issues
  • Coordinate and monitor maintenance activities performed by contractors, ensuring work is conducted in accordance with relevant manuals, quality standards and contract requirements
  • Perform regular inspections on the plant (including climbing/ascending wind turbines, substations, project area, etc.)
  • Link data from SCADA/control rooms to actual events in the power plants
  • Support the review and interpretation of performance KPIs
  • Support the review of contractor reports and assist the O&M/Asset Management function in plant performance, maintenance and availability reporting
  • Local monitoring of the power plants status
  • Monitor and ensure fast and effective management of plant critical urgent issues
  • Act as Owner’s representative at site
  • Manage local stakeholders
  • Be familiar with all Project Documents and support the Asset Management Team in discharging relevant project obligations
  • Support the Asset Management Team in relation to new projects under development, construction, M&A or other existing operational assets, from time to time as required

Skills And Experiences

Selection Criteria:

  • Preferably degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Trade with A Grade Electrical License
  • At least 5 years of experience in the power industry with a strong background in the energy sector and generation, preferably in renewables (wind)
  • Previous experience in Operation & Maintenance (or commissioning) of renewable (wind) power plants
  • White Card
  • Driver’s License
  • GWO training highly advantageous
  • High Voltage Switching highly advantageous
