Job summary

Rockwear in Brisbane is seeking an Area Manager to lead a portfolio of stores across the North Brisbane/Sunshine Coast region. You will drive sales, mentor Store Managers, and ensure brand standards across all locations.

This hands-on role requires travel between stores, strong leadership, and a proven retail track record. You will balance customer experience, merchandising, and safety while partnering with State Management to deliver results.

Qualifications

• Proven Area Manager experience or senior multi-site management background.
• Commercial smarts with a track record of smashing sales and KPI targets.
• Natural leader who builds and develops high-performing teams.
• Sharp eye for visual merchandising and retail operations.
• Comfort turning data into decisions and actionable insights.
• Confident, adaptable communication across all levels; willing to travel between stores.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standout customer experiences and set the tone for welcoming environments.
• Drive sales growth and profitability across stores; identify promos and upsell opportunities.
• Maintain stock availability and tight stock control; champion best practice.
• Recruit, coach and mentor Store Managers and teams; build leadership pipelines.
• Keep visual merchandising sharp with timely seasonal and promotional changes.
• Lead safety with regular WHS audits, risk assessments and team support.
• Serve as the link between State Management and store teams; cascade priorities clearly.
