Job summary

Allianz Technology in Sydney seeks an Area Architect to provide architectural leadership across agile squads, aligning solutions with enterprise standards, security, and strategic objectives. You will establish guardrails, govern AI development, and guide scalable, high-quality delivery.

You will collaborate with enterprise, global, and solution architects, evaluate technologies, champion AI capabilities, and ensure compliance while driving complex IT programs in a regulated financial services

Qualifications

Extensive experience in enterprise IT environments, ideally within financial services or insurance.
Broad technical expertise across cloud, infrastructure, security, applications, databases, middleware, AI, and emerging tech.
Strong ability to define and guide technology strategy to support scalability and business objectives.

Responsibilities

Drive architectural alignment across squads to meet enterprise standards and security requirements.
Assess emerging technologies, including AI, and provide governance and recommendations for scalability.
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into architecture and designs.
Lead architecture planning, evaluate technology options, and guide strategic technology decisions.
Champion adoption of new technologies and AI capabilities with governance and continuous improvement.
