Job summary

The Australian Museum is seeking an experienced archives professional to manage and develop our Archives Collections across physical and digital formats. This role will lead the identification, description, preservation and accessibility of the collections, deliver key archives projects, and work collaboratively with teams across the Museum to champion archival management practices.

The successful candidate will bring strong archival expertise, excellent organisation and stakeholder management

Qualifications

• Extensive recent Archives collection management experience in all formats.
• Experience in complex, time-sensitive project management and support services.
• Knowledge of NSW State Records Act, privacy, information access, ICIP, copyright.
• Ability to communicate the value of archives to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop Archives Collections across physical and digital formats.
• Lead identification, description, preservation and accessibility of the collections.
• Deliver key archives projects and champion archival management practices across the Museum.

Education

Tertiary qualifications in archives and records and information management
