Job summary

The National Archives of Australia is seeking a senior Manager, Digital Preservation to lead the ongoing development and implementation of its digital preservation agenda. You will drive procedures to safeguard digitised and born-digital records, define metadata standards, and oversee storage solutions in collaboration with IT teams.

The role requires proven team leadership, strong networks, and a degree in information studies, archival science, or conservation science.

Responsibilities

• Manage unidentified digital formats and design new methods for complex records.
• Collaborate with IT staff to test and improve digital storage solutions.
• Lead and appraise the preservation team and maintain professional networks.
