MODE is a multidisciplinary architectural design practice with 35 years of experience delivering better environments across Australia and New Zealand. We are seeking Architectural Technicians to join our Secure Environments Sector on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will work under the State Sector Lead, delivering high-quality design, documentation and construction outcomes. The role requires strong Revit/BIM capabilities, several years of post-graduate experience, and excellent collaboration

Qualifications

  • A recognised qualification with strong design, documentation, and construction knowledge.
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate employment experience
  • Proven Revit and BIM proficiency
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams
  • Self-motivated and solutions-focused with a client-centric approach

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver compliant, high-quality designs and documentation.
  • Coordinate with project team and stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Mentor junior staff and oversee work as appropriate.
  • Support project leaders to achieve time, cost, and quality goals.
  • Contribute to business development and client relations.
  • Be part of a collaborative, design-led studio network across Australia and New Zealand.

Skills & Experience

Architectural Technicians work with their allocated manager and under the direction of the State Sector Lead, requiring close working relationships with their project team at MODE to deliver high quality design, documentation and construction outcomes. They will collaborate with their team in a highly effective manner which includes mentoring and overviewing junior staff as appropriate to meet deadlines and project requirements.

Profile and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have

  • Relevant Qualifications: A recognised qualification with strong design, documentation, and construction knowledge.
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum 5 years post-graduate employment experience
  • Advanced BIM and Design Capabilities: Proven Revit and BIM proficiency with the ability to deliver coordinated, high-quality project documentation.
  • Project and Coordination Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, and coordinate to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Strong Communication and Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and teams.
  • Personal Drive and Professionalism: A self-motivated, results-driven, and solutions-focused approach with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.

  • Deliver Design Excellence: Prepare and deliver compliant, high-quality designs and documentation, integrating innovative solutions and supporting planning, building, and construction processes. Ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance requirements.
